FEES
Hanmer Springs Health Centre provides high quality, community focused care at affordable rates. Consultation fees are lower for enrolled patients, reflecting the additional funding we receive to support your ongoing care.
Casual and visiting patients, including overseas visitors are also welcome. Our current fees are listed below.

Our Fees
Enrolled Patient fees
Our enrolled patients enjoy the benefit of reduced fees, as our practice receives some funding from Health New Zealand towards the total cost of a consult.
GP and Nurse Practitioner appointments are up to 15 minutes. So, to help us run on time and ensure everyone is seen promptly, we ask that you focus on one main health concern per appointment. If you have more than one issue to discuss, your clinician may recommend booking a follow-up appointment so we can give each concern the attention it deserves. We appreciate your understanding as we work to provide timely, high-quality care for all our patients.

Casual Patient fees
Do I pay casual patient fees?
-
If you are not enrolled with our practice (you might be enrolled elsewhere or not enrolled anywhere), then you will pay casual patient fees.
-
Overseas visitors, who are citizens of Australia and the U.K. have a reciprocal agreement with New Zealand and are charged as casual patients. Other overseas visitors will be charged a subsidy on top of casual patient fees.
Why are casual fees higher?
- Because the practice doesn’t receive Health New Zealand funding for casual patients, casual consultations are charged at a higher rate.
